AnthroDesk Laptop Stand Review

Note: AnthroDesk asked me to review the AnthroDesk Laptop Stand with Adjustable Folding Ergonomic Design Stand for Ultrabook, Netbook, or Tablet. This sponsored post contains my own opinions.

During distance learning I needed to record videos for my classes.  While reviewing the footage, I was shocked at how different my energy and enthusiasm were when I was standing as opposed to sitting. Standing felt more like real teaching, and I was much more engaging - my videos made while sitting were less energetic.

At home, I use a standing desk (a dual motor from AnthroDesk), which I love.  Even when I’m working late at night, you can find me dancing with my desk 104 cm from the floor.

When my school district returned in September, I realized I needed a solution to raise my laptop higher so that I could work and teach with that same standing energy.  Plus, it’s so uncomfortable to sit all day!  My room is full of counters and lab benches, so there was no space for my own teacher desk.

I was planning on just stacking some textbooks to lift my laptop but by coincidence AnthroDesk offered to send me a laptop stand to use in my classroom! Talk about great timing! I accepted their kind offer and I’ve been using it every day in my classroom since it arrived.

The laptop stand comes already assembled – I only had to adjust the angles of the legs and attach the mouse pad.  It was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. It holds my 15” laptop easily and still fits the charging cable.

After some experimentation with the locking mechanisms, here is what I found worked best for me: 30 degrees on the bottom, 60 degrees in the middle and 15 degrees for the top.  Adjustment is simple: you just push in and adjust the leg, and make sure the legs are symmetrical on both sides.

This laptop stand has made a big difference in my quality of life while teaching and prepping. I’m so glad I have it. I love that it’s light enough that I can move it around my classroom as needed, and that I don’t need to hunch over a table to type. It’s surprisingly sturdy when typing on, with just a little bit of a wiggle. As mentioned, it comes with a mouse pad attachment, but I found my personal preference is to still use the mouse on the countertop.

If you’re looking for a laptop stand to help fix your posture, reduce sitting time, or make your lessons more engaging, I highly recommend the laptop stand from AnthroDesk.
